This was a really fun interview with a local reporter for The San Francisco Experience Podcast. Great conversation, great guy.
Part One of an hour-long interview with the legendary Captain Jim Fazackerley of the SFFD. I spent the day in the Point Reyes KWMR community radio station talking to Captain Faz about ambulances, life and death, the old days, the future, and beat poetry. It was a beautiful tear jerker of a day and the interview was an absolute blast. Truly one of the highlights of this entire book-writing experience so far.

This interview was an absolute blast. Barry is a long time medic himself and our conversation was really meaningful to me. I love sharing EMS with the general public and care what they think, but I will always be far more nervous when talking about my book with folks that are in the EMS world because their opinion means so much to me. I really, really care how those in EMS see me and my book and so having this type of coverage from someone like Barry is just a huge feeling of relief, joy, and pride for me.
